Doping not only strips the sport of its ethical and team values, but also causes health issues to the ones involved in it.
Below are some organizations and foundations created to support anti-doping and bring about fair practices in sports.
1.Indian Olympic Association
The Indian Olympic Association or the IOA is dedicated towards fighting against doping in sports. It provides advice and assistance to IOA executives and office on matters regarding health and well being of athletes, and medicals services to be provided to the national team participating in various games at national and international level.
2. WADA
The World Anti-Doping Agency is a foundation initiated by IOC to promote, coordinate and monitor the fight against drugs in sports. WADA’s mission is to lead a collaborative worldwide movement for doping-free sport.
3. NADA
The National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA) was set up with a mandate for dope free sports in India. The primary objectives are to implement anti-doping rules as per WADA code, regulate dope control programme, to promote education and research and creating awareness about doping and its ill effects.
Lakshya sports actively supports the anti-doping agencies and policies. We strongly believe that sports is a pure, free-spirited, ethical activity that should not be tarnished by drugs or any illegal methods. It is our fundamental objective to preserve fair play and also protect our young athletes
