All of us in the family are enthusiastic sportspersons and take an avid interest in sports too. I was extremely keen to nurture budding talent in sports. When my friend introduced me to Lakshya, my search was over. Our goal is similar to bridge the gap between the aspirations and realizations of sports talent in the country. Lakshya has helped us in Group Cheviot to extend holistic support to two sports persons. Mahak Jain – The right-handed tennis player who turned 18 two months ago is in top form. She recently won 2 singles titles and 1 doubles title at the ITF W15 events in Nairobi. A few months ago, she also won the 30K USTA event in California in straight sets. In the much spoken about Khelo India event that happened in Pune in January 2019, Mahak clinched the singles title in U-21 category, thus showing her domination in the Indian circuit as well. She is now preparing to play more international tournaments to improve her ITF (International Tennis Federation) rankings and get more exposure against foreign players and events. Suhana Saini – The 13 year old table tennis player is currently ranked in the top 3 players of the sub junior (U-15) National rankings .Recently, she won a singles bronze medal at the sub junior South Zone Ranking Table Tennis National Championship. Earlier this month she won a silver medal in sub junior doubles at the ITTF Hong Kong Golden Series Junior and Cadet Open. A couple of months ago she also won gold medal in singles at the North Zone Ranking Table Tennis National Championship. Her plan for the next few months is to maintain her National rankings as well as get exposure internationally by playing a few tournaments outside the country. Lakshya ensures 360 degrees full-fledged support to the players to enhance their performance in the respective sports. Furthermore, the player management team supervises physical fitness, mental toughness, injury management and diet requirements of all the players. We are very satisfied with the improvements made by Mahak and Suhana and contented with the intention and efforts made by the Lakshya Team.
